Travis walked into the library, having just had charms he wanted to have fun. It was just past mid day and most students had classes so the library was almost completly empty much to his liking. Travis slid his glasses onto his nose and wandered between the bookshelves before coming across a rather large book he hadn't read yet. He removed it from it's home on it's shelf and tucked it under his arm leaving the rows of shelves.
Taking a seat at a table in the back of the library, Travis glanced out the window the table, rain he hoped it didn't last for long he wanted to get some quidditch practice soon. He scooted his chair closer to the table and opened the large book, begining to read he flipped through the pages quickly and still catching everyword. His mom used to think he would just skim through books instead of actually reading them because of how fast he read.

Ava entered the library. She could often be found there, studying, reading, doing who knows what. Ava was a good kid (you had to be to be head girl after all) and so anything she was doing could hardly be described as mischievous or wrong or illegal. The book Ava went in search of however, was missing. She frowned, looking at its empty spot on the shelf and pulled out her wand. Now mind you, when Ava came in the library looked empty and it was eerily quiet, allowing Ava to almost safely assume she was alone and that what she was about to do would not in any way be rude.
She pictured the library and its various nooks and crannies and pictured the book, “The Noble Sport of Warlocks” and whispered an accio book. Luckily, Ava was very specific and all the books in the library didn’t rush toward her. Only one. The one Travis happened to be reading. Once the book was in her hands, Ava started flipping through, wandering towards a table in the opposition direction of where the book had come from. Not once did it cross her mind that someone else might have been reading it.

Travis was breezing through his book when suddenly it flew out from under his nose, (leaving his thumb with a rather nasty paper cut) He watched as the book flew towards a rather familiar and pretty blonde haired girl. Travis smiled and tucked his glasses on the inside pocket of his school robes. He walked slowly towards Ava as not to alert her and silently casted a levitation charm on the book holding it just out of her reach.
He walked around her till he was face to face with her, he ticked his finger back and fourth. "That wasn't nice, stealing a quidditch book from the freshly appointed Quidditch Capitan," Travis teased while at the same time informing her that he did take her advice to go for quiddtich and did it with avengance.

Ava mumbled a simple spell breaking the levitation one and began thumbing through the book when Travis appeared. It hadn’t occurred to her that someone had cast the levitation spell. Well Peeves had crossed her mind, but most of the time he knew better than to mess with her. Ava knew some charms that had been known to make his head spin, plus she was Head Girl.
Ava looked up. ”Travis!” She looked at the book she was holding and suddenly figured it all out. Awww little Ava had a blonde moment. She quickly snapped it shut and held it out to him. ”Sorry!!!” She frowned. ”No one ever really reads the book. I figured it had been misplaced.” Ava should have thought the book’s location through more thoroughly. ”Now I know, you do.”
She looked up as his last comment sunk in. "Congratulations." She said with a little smirk. "Guess I'll be seeing you out there on that pitch then."

Travis chuckled as Ava talked about the book, "I strive to read all the books i can you know." He smiled at he and put his hand pointed at the book, "Go ahead and let me know when your done with it, i got my mind set on a dozen others i want to finish by saturday." He gestured towards teh window and the weather outside. "Well Ms. Keeper, lets hope this weather lets up soon so we can truly test ya," Travis said in a half flirty half provoking tone.

Ava looked at him. ”There aren’t many in here I haven’t read.” Ava loved reading and though admittedly she didn’t read as fast as Travis, not that she knew that, she did read rather quickly. Ava looked down at the book and then back up at him and then offered him the book once again. ”I’ve already read it 6 times. I just needed to look up a term.” She nodded rather matter-of-factly. ”And when you’re done with those dozen, go to the muggle authors section and pick up Just Listen by Sarah Dessen. Something tells me you’ll agree with Owen.”
Ava looked out the window and back at him. Ava was good with charms and had, on more than one occasion, somewhat successfully, created an umbrella sort kind of thing to allow the Gryffindor team to practice during really rainy days. ”Oh Travis darling, don’t you know we play in the rain.” She grinned. ”Get used to the rain. We Gryffindors love it.” She smirked at him, picking up on his tone but for the moment, ignoring it.

Travis laughed as Ava commented on the rain, "Oh don't worry about me and the rain, I come from a large family who paly nomatter what the weather. Don't worry about me i can play in the rain. Still have to get in some practice with the new team set up though." He motioned to a table next to where they stood and sat down himself. "So i went from hopeful quilify for chaser to Quidditch capitain, mum always said aim high but damn i think i overshot. Travis joked.

Ava smirked. "I hope your team is as experienced in the elements." Ava said looked around briefly at the compendium of books surrounding her before sitting down at the table across from him. The book sitting between them on the table.
Ava smirked again. Sometimes the girl was a little evil. "Make sure you keep your mum in mind when you're aiming at my posts kay?" She said with a grin. Anyone who stumbled upon their little conversation might say the two were in some way flirting. Maybe?

Travis chuckled at Ava's comment, he still had no idea how the team played...at all. He grinned at Ava when she mentioned him keeping his mother in mind. "Now what man in his right mind would be able to think of his mum when looking at you?" He said winking at Ava, "To be honest i hope that they know how to play in the elements too, we really haven't had much practice.

Ava blushed. Had he just in some way told her she was pretty? Awww. Ava, being ever the witty one, looked at him and said, ”Well good, maybe then you’ll be so focused on the keeper, you’ll miss anyway.” She smiled at him and then nodded. ”Captain, you better get some practicing in or your team is going to suck. And though I’m pretty sure we’ll stomp you, everyone needs to beat Slytherin.” It was a ‘we Gryffindors hate Slytherins as a rule thing’.

Travis couldn't help but tease Ava, everyone knew of the Gyffindor-Slytherin rivalry. "Well how do you know that the Slythy Capitan didn't tell me the opposite. Maybe i'll side with them." He joked, everyone knew that Slytherin never sided with everyone it was pretty much them against everyone else. He picked up the book that sat between them and started messing with it, flipping it over and reading the back cover.

Ava raised a brow at him. ”You can’t honestly tell me that any of them are as nice as I am.” She grinned. ”or as pretty for that matter.” The smile spread further across her face as she at the same time, reached for the book. Her hand brushed his and she pulled away rather quickly and folded her hands into her lap. ”So… the weather kinda sucks.” it couldn’t be a crush could it? I mean he was cute but Ava had Payton. Granted she hadn’t seen Payton in forever so maybe she just really missed being someone’s girl. Ava wanted to let her head fall with an empty thud to the table, had she really just said something about the weather?

Travis pulled his hands back a bit at Ava's touch as well. He slid the book forward infront of her cause it was obvious she was reaching for it. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit to himself and fight back a smile. "Yea...the weather," He knew Ava was gorgeous but she had a man and he was pretty sure of it, like alot of thing. He didn't want to mess around with a girl who had a guy, it brought a bad rep with it. He tried to keep his mind off of seeing her as a potential girl and more as a friend. He leaned forward with his elbows on the table.

Ava looked at the book and pushed it back. She had just reached for it for something to do with her hands. Ava looked at him and shook her head. ”I really just said that didn’t I?” She frowned. ”I’m so lame.” She looked at him as he leaned forward. But Ava had suddenly lost most of her conversational skills. This was a weird position. And she’d just acknowledge the entire ‘I touched your hand and brought up the weather as a result of it’ thing. Great. This was going to be weird now. Maybe she should just make up an excuse and leave?

Travis sat, his head cocked to the left, he could almost smell the tension in the air, it was times like this that you met the real person not who they prettended to be. Maybe he should open up a bit. "Thats nothing I just fell out of my chair in the middle of Charms class because I saw a beautiful girl. I'm not as smooth as I come across." He reached into his inner pocket and pulled out his glasses slipping them over his nose. "Just a lonely nerd who's obsessed with study and magic theory and somehow pulls it off to make out with some of the most beautiful girls in hogwarts and play it smooth."
