Again, Xander's ears turned a shade of red as she mentioned getting distracted. He nodded as she offered what she was planning on getting. "Well, pick up the stuff you're planning on getting," he smiled, picking up a chocolate frog. Chocolate had to be the Gryffindor's favorite candy. ((Ick, it's short))

Charity grinned and picked up a few sugar quills. That should last her for the next week. She grinned as he picked up a chocolate frog. She loved the chocolate but she had never really had any desire to collect the cards. Which some people considered a sin. But whatever. Since when had she ever done what people expected of her?
Charity slid her hand back into Xander's as she tried to make her way through the packed shop to the cash register.

Xander grabbed a couple more chocolate frogs as Charity picked up a few quills. The Gryffindor wasn't a big fan of sweets, but he couldn't resist a nice bit of chocolate. There was just something about the smooth, milky substance that the boy loved. Offer him a sugary substance and most times he'd turn it away. Offer him a bit of chocolate and he would accept it on almost any occasion.
That being said about the candy itself, Xander didn't care for the cards. He had been into them when he was a young boy, but he had grown out of it. They weren't really anything special to him, and he never really kept them.
Xander couldn't help but smile brightly as Charity slipped her hand back into his. Glancing around as they moved toward the cash register, he finally noticed just how packed the shop was.
Finally reaching the counter, he set his frogs down and pulled a pile of coins from his pocket. Counting out enough for both his and Charity's, he glanced back at the girl. "Set your quills down," he smiled, nodding toward the small group of chocolate already on the counter's smooth surface. What? It was only polite to pay for a lady's candy.

Charity instinctively squeezed Xander's hand as the two made their way to the cash registers. It took them a bit, but they finally reached the registers. She looked up at his words. You sure? She asked. She didnt want to put him out. But all the same she extended her hand and laid the quills on the counter.
She sighed contentedly as she waited for Xander to pay. Once he had, she led the way out into the brisk, sunny October afternoon. So, where to next? You choose this time.

Xander smiled as he felt Charity squeeze his hand. He felt like the luckiest person in the world. After all, wasn't it fate that brought the two together? He couldn't believe the events that had taken place lately. He nodded at her question, glancing at her as he returned the extra coins to his pocket.
He smiled softly at her before turning his attention to the older woman at the register. A friendly smile pulled at his lips as he watched her tally up the cost. Waiting for her to finish, he handed her the coins. The old woman bagged the candy and handed it to him. Nodding his thank you, he turned and followed her out of the store.
The brisk breeze instantly hit him in the face, the sun making him squint as his eyes adjusted. He shrugged at her question, looking around at the nearby stores. "How about a butterbeer?" he asked.

Charity leaned into Xander as the two made their way through the streets of Hogsmeade. It was a beautiful day, that much was for certain. The sun was shining, the birds were singing... yeah you get the idea. She looked up at the handsome boy beside her as he spoke. She smiled. Sounds perfect She reached up on her tiptoes and kissed his cheek lightly.
Charity followed Xander through the streets of Hogsmeade, gazing into the various store windows. There were so many things to see, but the only thing she really wanted to see was the boy walking next to her. She smiled up at him contentedly.

Xander took in a slow, content breath as he felt Charity lean into him. Though the wind was a bit chilly, it was actually turning out to be a beautiful day. Though it didn't matter how bad the weather was, his day was beautiful anyway. Just like the girl walking beside him. He smiled as she spoke, kissing him on the cheek lightly and causing his ears to turn slightly pink again.
A small smile was plastered to the Gryffindor's face as they walked through the streets of the small village. He watched as Charity gazed into the windows of the numerous shops. "If there is a shop you want to go into, just let me know," he chuckled, seeing her eyes light up as they passed another clear window.
Finally they rounded a corner and the clean, yet fading sign of the Three Broomsticks came into view. It was bustling with the crowds that always appear during trips from Hogwarts. Smiling down at the girl beside him, he reached out and opened the door for her politely. Waiting for her to enter, he followed her in.
It was considerably darker in the small bar than in the bright and cheerful October sun. He stopped just inside the door, waiting for his eyes to adjust before attempting to advance farther into the busy pub. After a few long seconds he was able to see and searched for an open table the couple could slip into.
Nudging Charity in the side, he nodded toward a small empty table in the back corner. Slipping his fingers into hers, he lead her to the table. Waiting for her to take a seat, he took the seat across from her. A smile appeared on his face as he watched her. He couldn't help it. He felt like the luckiest guy in the world.

Charity's eyes lit up as she passed yet another store window. She chuckled at Xander's comment. Of course there's a few stores I want to go in, but you let me in them and I wont have any money for the rest of the school year. She ran her free hand through her dark brown hair as she spotted the Three Broomsticks.
Besides, She added, I thought we were getting butterbeers. She grinned as she led him into the store.

Hearing Charity laugh made Xander blush lightly. He hated it, but felt his cheeks heat up nonetheless. "I was just saying," he shrugged, looking down at the ground as they continued to walk. He felt kind of stupid now, his face still burning and Charity laughing at him. He glanced back at her, a small smile flashing across his face before disappearing again. He opened his mouth to say something, but closed it again, decided to simply nod instead, letting her lead him into the bustling store. ((Ick it's short.... You want to do a thread with Xander asking Charity to the Hallow's Eve Ball?))
