Noah never considered his looks to be anything extraordinary, but no one ever told him he looked like a troll either. His hair is fairly short, and it would be straight except he prefers to style it a little bit "spikey" so it stays out of his face. Its color is basically light brown, though if he spends a lot of time in the sun in can look a little blondish too. His eyes are dark blue with a little bit of brown around the pupil. In addition, his face is sort of long and oval in shape (and he personally sometimes thought his nose looked a little too long).
As far as clothing style goes, as a teacher he likes to look pretty professional. During the the school week, he usually wears nice pants, a collared shirt and a tie, and he's careful to keep his staff robes clean. On the weekends, his "casual" look is something like khaki's and a polo, but once in a while you still might find him in a pair of nice jeans (and at a quidditch game, you'll see him wearing a black and yellow scarf to show support for his former house, even if teachers are technically suppose to be neutral).

Personality: (min. 2 paragraphs)
One word often used to described Noah is quiet. That doesn't mean he is shy or anything (in fact he's always had quite a friendly personality), but he is a thoughtful person. He's much more a listener than he is a talker, and in general his demeanor is very calm. If you had a problem, Noah was a good person to go to because he's very good at thinking things through. True to his Hufflepuff nature, he was a very hard-working as a student which is the only way he was able to receive good grades, and even now he is still very determined and very loyal to those he cares about.
However, even as a professor, there is a fun side to Noah. While he wishes to spread the skill of divination to his students (or help them find a book in the library), he also sees no harm in trying to be their friend. He loves to laugh, or make others laugh, so during a lesson he might throw in a joke now and then. He's not known for being very strict, and he tries to avoid taking off house points or giving detention, though as a teacher he still asks for respect and order in the classroom. Overall, though he enjoys spending time with his students (don't be surprised to see him out on the lawns), and he's always there to help them if needed. Noah has always had a good intuition thanks to his seer blood, so he has a knack for knowing if someone is troubled.

History: (min. 3 paragraphs)
Noah Alexander Caxton was born in 1982 in Cardiff, Wales. His parents, Benjamin and Bethany, were both Welsh as well, though his mum was a muggle while his dad was a pure-blooded wizard. Benjamin had gone to Hogwarts as a student in Gryffindor, and when he graduated he attended a school for Healers. He traveled from his home in Cardiff and his school in London via floo powder. One night, while dining at one of his favorite muggle restaurants in Cardiff, he ran into a woman name Bethany Roberts. To his surprise, she was actually the owner of the restaurant, and to his further surprise he immediately fell in love with her. They dated for about 6 months before Benjamin finally told Bethany his magical secret. Of course she was shocked, but as they say love conquers all, and eventually the two got married.
About 5 years after their marriage, the couple had their first child, a daughter name Charlotte, however she didn't seem to show any signs of magical ability. A few years later they gave birth to their son, Noah. When he was two years old Noah once had a bit of a temper tantrum and created a small thunderstorm in the kitchen. Benjamin immediately realized his son was going to be a wizard. Bethany was a little confused about the whole process still, but she was truly happy for him. For the longest time his sister, Charlotte, was really just jealous that her brother could do all this wonderful this when she couldn't. There was the time when he was 14 and used his wand to fix her prom dress, though, and she began to realize that she should just be proud of what her brother could do and his accomplishments.
At Hogwarts, Noah thrived in the Hufflepuff house. He made a solid circle of friends, got good grades, and in general had an enjoyable experience at Hogwarts. Of course, sometimes life was a little challenging to say the least. As a half-blood during the time of Voldemort's second rise, it was sometimes scary, like in his 5th year after Dumbledore died and Death Eaters were virtually in charge of the school. To make a long story short, though, he survived and graduated from Hogwarts in 1999 with high marks and high moral.
Noah has known that he wanted to be a professor, but he wasn't sure of what subject. He had always excelled in divination, and his father's family did have a history of seers, though usually the gene had only showed up in women. After graduation, he went to a sort of general wizards academy to learn more about all sort of subjects that could help him on the path to teaching. When he was 19 though, he did start to have visions. Only small one's really, but it did give pretty solid proof that in had in fact inherited seer blood.
He was much more sure of his path now, but when he was 21 something unexpected happened. He met a girl by the name of Brielle Marceux, a Beauxboton's graduate who was only in London for a short time doing a bit of work at the Ministry. The two hit it off almost immediately, and when she went back to France they maintained a long distance relationship. When Noah was 22, Brielle found him a fairly good-paying teaching job in Paris, so he ended up packing his bags and moving in with her. A few months later, the pair even got engaged. Noah couldn't see how his life could get much better with having a job and a fiancé, but then when he was 23 and about to get married, he came home one day to an empty apartment and a letter from Brielle. In it, she simply stated that she was in love with someone else, and called off the whole wedding.
Noah tried desperately to find her and figure out what went wrong, but Brielle only avoided him and insisted it was over. Devastated, he moved back to Cardiff, deciding that even being in the same country as her just didn't feel right. Now home, he applied for the Divination teaching position at his old school, and he was ecstatic when he got the job. With a bit of a fresh start, Noah was already feeling better, and now two years later he feels pretty content, though he hasn't dated anyone after his failure with Brielle.

Noah shut the door behind him quietly, though the sound still echoed across the currently empty classroom. He glanced around the stoney tower with a sense of happiness that he was back for another year of teaching. Low tables were placed throughout the room, with puffy pillows on the floor to be used as chairs. When he first saw that set-up two years ago, he actually thought it looked a little absurd, but the students had said that it was actually a nice change to sit on the floor. He has simply shrugged and said, 'Alright, but don't complain if your back begins to hurt,' with a small laugh.
Shaking his head lightly at the memory, Noah strolled to the front of the room where his desk was at, and placed down the pile of books that he had been holding in his left arm. He had just come from the library, and the stack contained a variety of books about that subject of (what else) Divination. After two years at Hogwarts, he pretty much had a syllabus worked out for all of his classes, but he still enjoyed to brush up on some new material now and then for some ideas.
Turning back around, he sat quietly on the edge of his desk while looking at the student's work tables again. "Why do I feel that something is missing?" he asked himself, rubbing a hand against his not-so clean shaven chin. Suddenly, he snapped his finger with realization. "Of course," he said out loud, pulling his mahogany wand out of his pocket. With a small flick of his wrist, the cupboard in the corner popped open, and crystal balls began to float around the room for a moment, before one by one they settled down on a table. His first class today was a group of 4th years, and he believed a refresher course of gastromancy was needed.
Suddenly, he heard the sound of footsteps climbing up the tower stairs. 'This must be the eager bunch,' he mused, glancing at his watch and realizing that there was still about 5 minutes before class started. Still, he realized he should probably be grateful that anybody was eager for his class. Noah stood up a little straighter, fixed his tie, and waited to greet his students.
((Not my best work, but it should give you an idea hopefully )
