Darek had woken up on time, well if he was planning on going to class that morning, which surprisingly, he was. The bright morning sun shone through the window, lighting up the otherwise dark dormitory. Groaning, he turned over on his side and threw the blankets over his head to cast out the light. However, he was already awake and with an irritated edge, slipped from the warmth of his four poster bed.
He dressed in his uniform, like he was supposed to, but hardly ever did. Everything was worn just as it was supposed to be, other than the fact his tie hug rather loosely. He put on his normal black eye makeup and with a flick of his wand, decided he'd go with short spiky hair for the day. It was still black with white tips though, he wouldn't change that.
Grumbling like normal when he is up before lunchtime, he made his way out of the Slytherin common room and into the dungeons. His eyelids were still heavy and he walked with a slow, heavy pace.
Turning the corner, he bumped into somebody. Opening his eyes to the way they're supposed to be, he mumbled a just barely audible "Sorry," though it was easy to tell by the tone of his voice that he didn't really mean it. After all, he was a Slytherin.

Lyric was dragging her feet down the stairs. She wasnt really a day person. In one hand she held a white rose, she had found it, slightly stepped on, but still pretty. In the other she held her books. As she went to turn a corner she felt herself run into someone. Noticing this persons hair first she was immeidatly loving it, but then she realized she had dropped her rose, now crushed beneath her heavy books.
((hope you dont mind, I wasnt sure if it was what you meant but I made Lyric the someone he ran into, hope its okay.))

((I don't mind at all. I was just basically saying that I had open threads everywhere.))
Darek looked up from his gaze on the floor to make eye contact with a girl he recognized as a Ravenclaw. He thought he had seen her at a few of the parties he had been to, but wasn't sure. He smiled a bit unwillingly and his eyes fell to the now crushed white rose. "I can fix that," he shrugged, pulling out his wand.
Waving it without much enthusiasm, the flower returned to a healthy look. Sure, the boy didn't go to all of his classes, but he wasn't stupid.

Lyric picked up the rose, quickly, along with her books. Putting them all in the crook of her arm she brushed her hair back with her other hand. “I just found the rose, it doesn’t matter, but thanks.” She had a thing for roses, not the smell, but the look. She loved the idea that’s something beautiful could be dangerous. Still though, she didn’t want to seem like a pansy….pun not intended.
"Lyric." She said, introducing herself in a nonchalant tone. She would be late for class, but she didn’t care. She enjoyed class but she was a rebel at heart.

Darek shrugged as Lyric explained how she simply found the rose. It was his fault the flower got crushed, the least he could do was repare it. After all, it wasn't like it took a whole lot of effort to do so.
A polite smile appeared on the Slytherin's pale face. "Darek," he replied, introducing himself in return. He thought he had seen the girl around before, but he wasn't sure. Sure, the boy was on his way to class, but it didn't take much for him to change his mind and not go. After all, it was a rarity for him to show up in the first place. "What house are you in?" he asked, his curiousity getting the better of him.

Lyric looked at him, “Ravenclaw.” She muttered. Looking the boy up and down, noticing the colors on his tie she spoke, "You’re a Slytherin?” When she had first arrived she had expected to be a Slytherin, though her brains got the better of her. She held no grudge, she liked being a Ravenclaw, and made great friends in that house.

He nodded as she stated she was in Ravenclaw, though he probably could have figured it out himself from her uniform. Then again, the boy was up early and didn't care enough to use his brain, even if he was headed to class.
Again, he nodded as she guess his house. If Darek tried, he probably could have fit in with the Ravenclaws, though he didn't care. He was smart, he just refused to do his homework, or go to class for that matter. He had friends in pretty much all the houses though, well, maybe except for Gryffindor, but that wasn't the point. Still, he thought he saw the girl somewhere, and obviously it wasn't in class. Maybe it was at a party. "So what year are you in?" he asked, leaning against the cool stone wall.

Lyric laughed, “ Aren’t you the inquisitive one… I’m in my sixth year.” She looked the boy and down, unable to figure out what age he might be. While he looked mature enough to be a seventh year he also had a boyish quality to him that could peg him even a fourth year. "You?”

Darek smiled, shrugging his shoulders. Again, his questions had left him empty as to where he had seen the Ravenclaw before. He wasn't usually so pushy about getting to know people, it was just that he was sure he had seen her before, but he just couldn't figure out where. "Fifth," he said, practically shrugging off the answer like it was nothing, "Do I know you from somewhere?" he finally asked, tired of beating around the bush. Maybe it was a party he was at one time that he had seen her at.

Lyric smiled, ” maybe, your lovely hair looks familiar, but I’m no good with names and faces.” She laughed sarcastically, “Let alone locations.” Her eyes met his hair, ” and I’m kidding you have amazing hair.” She stopped herself for a moment, ” Okay that sounded creepy, probably one of those things that sounded more complimentary and less fan girl in my head.”

Darek couldn't help but smile at the complement on his hair. Most of the time he got stared at because of it. It wasn't often people actually said they liked it. Well, other than Lilyth, she's in love with it. "I'm not very good at names either," he admitted. "I'm a Slytherin, I'm used to creepy," he shrugged.
"I wouldn't mind a fan girl," he teased. After all, his heart lay in his music. He would love to hear that he actually had people outside of his close friends that actually liked his music.

Lyric laughed, “You got yourself a fan girl then.” He was cute, there was no way to deny that. Though even if he had been ugly she still would found herself fawning over his hair. maybe I should try, not thinking about his hair. she laughed in her head about her own thoughts.
Lyric looked at the books in her arms, missing class wasn’t something she never did….but she felt guilty about it. So she let the books fall from her arms, quickly following them by dropping to the ground, “ Want to sit down?”

Darek couldn't help but laugh as Lyric replied to his statement. It was funny to think about. She was pretty, but he didn't really know her all that well. Sure, there was that eluding placement as to where he'd seen her before, but he gave up on trying to place her. He knew there were people that liked his hair, but there were also people who hated it. He had some people even threaten him with scissors.
The Slytherin watched as Lyric sat down, dropping her books to the ground. He too was carrying books, which was a bit of a shock for even him. He never went to class really. A bit of a smile appearing on his face, he slid to the floor too, setting his books against the nearby wall. "So where were you headed before running into me?" he asked.

Lyric smirked at him, “some class.” She to be coy, but she smiled, “You?” Man wa shtis coversation turning into 20 questions. She didn’t really mind, if she wasn’t being distracted she would be horrified that she was missing class.
The truth was she was supposed to be in Divination, she was in the lower corridors to ‘meet’ a ‘friend‘, or at least she was supposed to. Guess she was standing him up, no big deal. The cheater deserved to be stood up sometime, see how it feels.

Darek returned the Ravenclaw's smile. "That's odd, that's exactly where I was going," he teased, arching an eyebrow playfully. He wasn't the greatest conversation starter in the world, especially when it was still way before his usual wake up time. He was supposed to be in Charms, but the boy never really showed up to any of his classes, so it wasn't hard for him to change his mind this morning. He just wished he would have changed his mind earlier, so that he could still be sleeping instead of standing in the hall with a Ravenclaw he had just met.
"Potions?" He asked, trying to guess the class the girl was supposed to be in. It was a rather decent guess too, after all, they did run into each other in the dungeons. Why else would a Ravenclaw be in the dungeons? At least being a Slytherin their common room was down there. He paused, waiting for Lyric's answer, curiously scanning the books she held in her hand.
