Lyric Laughed, “ Not even remotely close.” , partly because it was the wrong class, partly because it was in a tower and they were in the dungoens, and partly because she hadnt been heading to a class at all.
She looked him up and down, he guess where she was going, now it was her turn, though she made more of a joke of it, “ Muggle Studies?” Her eyebrow arched, she crossed her arms, but she still slumped. Not all Slytherin hated muggles, but it tended to be the common belief, so she had to guess at it, hoping it was a joke.

Darek shrugged as Lyric stated that his guess was wrong. Hey, it was a logical guess, right? He was lucky he had made a guess that at least made sense this early. He hated having Transfiguration so early in the morning, it ruined his entire day. Now, if he had some other class first period, he'd be happy. He could sleep in and then catch Transfiguration later.
Her guess caught him slightly off guard. He wasn't really expecting her to guess where he was going. Her words taking a second to register in his mind, he snorted. "You can't be serious," he scoffed, arching an eyebrow at the Ravenclaw. Weren't Ravenclaws supposed to be smart? "You honestly think I'd get up this early to go to Muggle Studies?" he asked, his voice taking on an incredulous tone.
After all, he was a Slytherin and he grew up in a family filled with former Slytherins. The belief that muggles were scum was something Darek was forced to grow up with, and as a result, it stuck with him. He tried to be open, but deep down he was still a bloodist. "No, I'm supposed to be in Transfiguration," he stated, not that he was going to make it to class now anyway. Oh well, he'd get the homework and copy someone else's notes later.

Lyric laughed, “ I wouldn’t take that class either, and Im an over achieving ravenclaw.” She wasn’t high on her pedestal about muggles, she just had no interest in taking a class about them. He didn’t hate them, though muggleborns could be the subject in the cruel jokes, she didn’t have a real problem with non magical people at all. It was the thought of taking a class about them that bored her out of her mind.
“Transfiguration hmm? Interesting class, fun, but hard.” She had always had trouble in transfiguration, she wasn’t sure why it just really wasn’t her forte, “ well since you’ve been so kind and offered up your class, I am supposed to be in divination.” Lyric knew how odd it must have been to hear that she was supposed to be in a tower and instead she was in the dungeons.

Darek couldn't help but smile at Lyric's statement. A girl that could pick on herself and her house, he liked that. The more he talked to the Ravenclaw in front of him, the more he began to realize this wasn't your typical Ravenclaw. For one thing, she wasn't in class while she was supposed to be.
He could only shrug at her statement about Transfiguration. It had to be his favorite class, only he didn't understand why. He hated having to put effort into class. It'd always sparked an interest for the Slytherin, even when he was a young boy. He even dreamed of one day becoming an animagus. Imagine his surprise when that old guy asked if he wanted to learn. Though it was a secret, it was still something Darek was capable of doing, he could transform his body into that of a wolf's.
Darek was surprised by the girl's revelation about which class she was supposed to be in. His guess had been way off. He found himself wondering the girl's reasons for being down in the dungeons when her class was high up in the towers, though he wasn't going to ask. "That makes perfect sense," Darek smiled sarcastically.

Lyric laughed. She knew she had to look crazy for being in the dungeons while she was supposed to be attending divination, but crazy was alright with her. It was silent for a moment, she couldn’t think of anything to say. They had been asking questions, and she was tired of that. It was a big school, the odds of them seeing each other was slim, so why know everything enough one another? Well because that was the only way of conversation she could think of at the moment,
“What’s Slytherin like?” She had to ask. He rebellious nature also sort of wanted her to be in Slytherin, not the stuck up Ravenclaw. She did enjoy the house, Ravenclaw, but she had always wanted something different. She was stuck with a bunch of know-it-alls, and though she cared very much for school, and she worked hard at it, she wasn’t naturally gifted like some of these kids. It drove her nuts.

Darek was still too asleep to think of a real conversation. All he could do was ask questions and hope it would spark something. He thought it funny the girl was supposed to be in divination and was in the dungeons, but he wasn't going to push it or anything. It wasn't his business what she was up to. He ran his fingers through his hair as a silence fell over them. He stiffled a yawn, hell, he might as well go back to sleep, he wasn't going to make it to Transfiguration and that was the only class he actually cared to go to. Maybe he'd head up to an empty tower and work on his transformation a bit after he parted ways with this Ravenclaw.
He was thinking about that when she asked him about Slytherin. Lyric's question caught him off guard and he looked up at her, stunned for a few seconds. Not quite understanding what she meant, he shrugged. "I don't know. You always have to watch your back and everyone's expecting you to mess up. People instantly steer clear of you when they see the silver and green, it gets annoying, but I wouldn't change houses," he stated, leaning up against the wall. "Why do you ask?" he never really thought about any of the other houses, or even thought about his own house. It just wasn't something Darek usually did. It was hard for him to answer her question. Now he was curious, he'd ponder the subject later.

Lyric listened as he spoke. He seemed like a nice kid, he definitely had a mind. She noticed she had caught him off guard and she felt kind of bad, she didn’t mean to do that, she just wondered. When he asked Why she asked Lyric shrugged.
“No real reason. As a rule breaking partier I’ve always had a foot in Slytherin. As an over achiever I’ve always had a foot in Ravenclaw, so It was just curiosity.” She pulled her legs up in the butterfly sitting position, she was flexible so she could press her feet against her body, her slim legs stretched. She used to be athletic but she stopped caring much for sports, besides Quidditch, she enjoyed Quidditch.

Many people that had the chance to get close to Darek would say he had a lot of potential, he was a talented musician with a good heart and a brain. The problem was, he didn't care about anything but the music. Sometimes he wondered just how things would be if he had taken the time to go to class, to put effort into his work, what house he would be in. However, suck thoughts never left his head. He listened to her reasonings with a slight curiosity. 'A rule breaking partier' that's probably where he'd seen her before, after all, Darek was seldom ever missing from a party worth going to. He even hosted a majority of them.
Leaning back, he watched her shift her position. "What's Ravenclaw like?" he asked before he had a chance to stop himself. He always figured it was filled with nerds that freaked about their studies. But thinking about it, if he had actually taken the initiative to push himself in his own studies, he might have been placed in Ravenclaw instead of the notorious Slytherin.
