Darek nodded. "I don't like the sun," he said matter-of-factly. is skin was always pale and he never seemed to be able to tan. He burned very easily, and the brightness hurt his eyes. So, he learned not to like the sun and as a result stayed indoors the majority of the time. The Slytherin noticed as Leon winced, but didn't show it on his own features. Instead he shrugged off the older boy's comment. "You learn to deal with it," he replied his voice remaining hollow on the subject.
Darek had not zoned out when Leon apologized, he just didn't take the time to think of something to say in return. In his eyes, the conversation on that subject was over. Darek shrugged, he had a girl he would like to ask, but he wouldn't to that. He couldn't. She was kinda already seeing someone. He would much rather go with a group of friends instead of some random girl that happened to say yes anyway. "Anyone you are thinking about asking?" he asked, arching one of his dark eyebrows.
