Chris rolled her eyes and figured since they were on the subject, she was going to have a bit of fun. She was more than comfortable with her body and she knew Gavin was only joking, so it was her turn. Putting a major pouty face on, she looked at Gavin before looking down at her chest. Pushing her boobs together, she examined them, knowing Gavin’s eyes would more than likely be on her chest. ”You really think they’re bad?” she whined, making her voice sound sad. She completely discarded his apology. No, he was going to have to work a bit harder than that.

Gavin couldn’t believe Chris’s actions. He knew she liked to mess with him, but this actually was a little bit less like her, he liked it, but he felt she had something cooking in her head. He leaned forward, “ You’re perfect in every way, shape, or form.” He couldn’t take his eyes of her chest, and smirked a little. Almost twitching as he brought his eyes away from the ‘jems’ she carried on her body to look at her face, “ You are so beautiful, you are the kind of girl that has the chemicals that makes me fall in love.” His voice was singy as he preached lyrics he had heard somewhere, “Happy?”

Chris knew she was stepping out of her familiar territory, and it wasn’t something she was about to get used to doing. No, it was a one time – get back at Gavin thing. Smiling with her victory, she dropped her hands from her boobs. Gavin was definitely a character. Her icy blue eyes locking with his, she dropped the smile when he asked if she was happy. ”No,” she shrugged simply. She heard what she wanted to hear, but it wasn’t like Chris to just end something. No, if anything, she’d allow him to change the subject. The compliments she was getting from him were starting to make her nervous. Putdowns, she could take, no problem. Compliments were another story.

Gavin leaned back with a loud, unnecessary sigh, “You are impossible to please Christina Carrington!” He rarely used her full name, in fact He rarely used her whole first name. Chrissy or Chris were usually what he used to address her. His hand covered his eyes and his knees were up, he was sprawled on the grass basking in the sun. “ What is your middle name?” he was sure he had known it, but he couldn’t bring it to mind, which was odd because of the length of time he had known her.

Chris simply rolled her eyes at Gavin’s over-exaggerated sigh. ”You wouldn’t have me any other way,” she smiled, discarding the fact that he used her entire name. She hated being called Christina. It was horrible. Anyone that wasn’t authority probably learned fast that they don’t use her full first name. Hell, even some of the authority members learned the hard way. Twisting her body, she allowed her self to fall flat on her back next to Gavin. She took a deliberate breathe, looking at him sideways before answering. “Elizabeth. What’s yours?” she probably already knew his middle name, but she was too lazy to actually thing about it.

Gavin put his arm under her head as she lay down and pulled her close, “I don’t give it up as easily as you. You are not getting my name out of me.” He laughed. As a Smart ass it was his job to cause problems for her. “I don’t really get middle names to tell you the truth. I mean Why? Its not like I would ever call you Elizabeth, I mean I guess if your first name was atrocious, but even then I would just call someone by their last name.” He had the tendency to rant, which was fine with him, but it tended to bug people around him.

Chris allowed Gavin to pull her close to him, listening to what he said. Looking at him, she gave him a rather dirty look and punched him in the shoulder. ’I told you mine, you tell me yours!” she snarled. She should have known he wasn’t going to tell her and so resulted in her racking her mind for his middle name. Still trying to think of the middle name, she listened to his little rant about middle names. She didn’t mind his rants, but shrugged. ”I don’t know, maybe for more of an identity? Think about it, if a guy had ten middle names he’d be the only guy with ten middle names so when you saw his name there would be no question. It would be him.” she offered, hoping her answer made a little bit of sense.

Gavin laughed, his shoulders heavily dropping and rising as he did so. “Who the Hell would have ten middle names? That kid would be a freak!” He put a hand to his forehead, still laughing. “I would totally bang her if it was a girl though.” He sneered, his mocking tone meshed with his serious tone to make it sound like some sadistically true sarcasm. He probably would do the girl, and in years past the guy as well, but not anymore.

Chris couldn’t help but laugh at her statement too. He had a point. She didn’t know anyone with ten middle names. It would be funny, and the person would probably be picked on constantly. She laughed a bit harder at his first comment, ”Yea, they would,” she agreed. His second comment was typical Gavin. Chris rolled her eyes, still laughing. ”You’d bang anything with a girl thingy,” she replied, her laughter subsiding, but a smile still on her face. I love how Gavin used to be gay – or bisexual.

Gavin laughed, “ Doesn’t have to be a girl love.” he said with a flick of his wrist and a homosexual sounding voice before cracking up. He was an on and off bisexual and often found himself in very homosexual situations which actually didn’t make himself all that uncomfortable. In fact when he was drunk he seemed to hit on men more than woman, but sober it was usually more girls. Gavin was a mystery when it comes to sexuality.
He sighed, “ I give up.” he continued their last conversation, “ my middle name is Arden. I know girl name, bite me.” he covered his bases before she could say anything. He was sure he had told her before but it seemed people’s reactions were always the same. The womanizer having a woman’s name for a middle name? weird.

Chris rolled her eyes at Gavin’s comment. She was aware of his… ever changing sexuality, but most recently it had been strictly girls. At least, it was only girls she was aware of as of late. A shrug of her shoulders was her form of reply. There were so many verbal comments that popped into her mind, some dirtier than others, but the majority of them cruel. She was almost surprised herself that she didn’t vocalize at least one of them. In her maturing years, was she softening up? No, of course not. That was impossible. The infamous Chris, the girl with no conscience whatsoever, actually growing soft? It was enough to make one laugh.
She smiled slyly as Gavin finally revealed his middle name to her. Yes, Arden. She should have remembered that sooner. She’d known it already, but still it managed to slip her mind. ”Ah, yes. Just another way to connect with your sexual prey, isn’t it? she said sarcastically. She knew he got plenty of crap for his middle name, but who was she not to rub it in his face? The name fit him, the more she thought about it, in a weird sort of way.

Gavin lightly punched Chris’s arm, “True. True.” He was unaware of how on earth his mother came up with the middle name Arden….where the hell could it have come from? It’s not like any of his family was named that…or any great leader. He was convinced his alcoholic mother was just messing with him. “y’know it means From The Eagle Valley. I don’t even know what the hell that means let alone what it has to do with me.” he laughed. He loved meanings of names, he thought they said a lot about people. “In whole my name means White Hawk From the Eagle Valley Victory of the people. What a load of confusing crap.” he laughed again, he reached over to Chris’s hair and wrapped his finger in it, making a loose curl that fell out the minute he removed his finger. He did this frequently, he wasn’t really sure why.

A punch to the arm. Chris wasn’t sure how that represented fondness or friendship, and it wasn’t like they were the only ones that did it. It was a rather popular gesture. Nonetheless, she didn’t spend too much time pondering it. She didn’t really care that much, and it meant it was okay for her to punch people. His next statement made her look at him. Raising an arched eyebrow, she wasn’t sure just what to say. She knew he had a strange fondness for the meaning of names, but she couldn’t really see why. ”You’re just a freak,” she shrugged, his name was just a load of confusion.
Allowing her friend to play with her hair, she remembered the first time he tried to do it. She almost hurt him. Bad. But that was way back when there wasn’t nearly as much trust between the two Slytherins. Still, with him bringing up the meaning of his name, she couldn’t help but wonder what her own meant. It was probably something stupid, but hey, it was worth a laugh.

Gavin twisted his finger in Chris’s hair more, wrapping it tightly without pulling her hair. He would never forget the first time he did it, as a nervous habit, she had almost really hurt him. He was cautious for a long time after that, but he had pretty much gotten over it now, and he pretty much touched her every wear…with some boundrylines of course. He knew what Chris’s name meant, but knew she wouldn’t want to hear it, so he did what any good friend would do, he didn’t tell her. Knowing her he assumed she was curious, but he didn’t want to tell her it was pretty much the exact opposite of her.
“Your right I am a freak.” He laughed whole heartedly. "what will you do after this freak isnt here anymore?"

Chris shifted her position in the grass, resting her chin on her knees, but still within reach of Gavin, who still had his fingers in her hair. She hardly let anybody touch her hair, and yet she didn’t mind Gavin playing with it. It was something she had gotten used to over the six years that they’d known each other. It wasn’t the only thing she had gotten used to in that time either, she was more or less accustomed to being touched practically everywhere by her flamboyant friend. She laughed lightly as he agreed with her. It was pretty much common knowledge he wasn’t ‘normal’.
His question caught her somewhat off guard. Looking over at him, she shrugged. It was something she had thought about more than she cared to admit. She had grown so used to hanging around with him and Skale, she didn’t know what she was going to do without them there. It wasn’t something she enjoyed thinking about. ”I don’t know, go crazy?” she joked. Still, it was a serious concern that was always in the back of her mind. They still had the rest of this year and it wasn’t like they were never going to see each other again.
